Jess Reidy is a movement maker, educator, and motivator, based in Brooklyn, NY. As a founding member of Treeline Dance Works she has had the pleasure of performing the company’s work throughout the east coast, southwest, and internationally. She has also helped set company repertory on students of Franklin and Marshall College and has been a guest teaching artist at Glendale Community College, and Grand Canyon University (AZ). Reidy’s own work has been presented by Triskelion Arts Split Bill, DUMBO DANCE FESTIVAL, WAXworks, Under Exposed, Fertile Ground, Figment NYC, and Middlessex University (UK). She has also had the honor of performing in works by Mariah Maloney, James Hansen, David Dorfman, Earl Mosely, and Megan Harold among others. Outside of the dance studio Reidy has spent the last decade teaching yoga and exercise to diverse populations. More recently she has turned her attention to movement science education for professionals in these fields, serving as a faculty member at The Manhattan Institute of Allied Health Personal Fitness Program, and the Jai Yoga Arts 200-Hr Teacher Training. She is currently an MA Candidate in Applied Exercise Physiology at Teacher College, Columbia University. And holds a BFA in Dance from The College at Brockport SUNY.
